Abstract: "The course has always been well received as the students recognize the value of having the opportunity to observe and critically evaluate their own and my own interviewing (as well as the interviewing of other senior staff members who help teach the course). However, i have always recognized that with the limited time available (the course is only about fourteen 2-hou sessions), and with the vagaries of patient selection, countless problems encountered in clinical interviewing are never discussed. For that reason i always wished that i could recommend a suitable text that would systematically and comprehensively present the principles of clinical interviewing" (tomado de la fuente).
